What You’ll Need:
- Current and active TX SLP License (must be maintained throughout the assignment)
- Demonstrated experience providing occupational therapy in a school-based setting
- Strong understanding of teletherapy best practices and technologies
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs across kindergarten through high school
- Tech-savvy approach and ability to document sessions within secure digital platforms
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to K-12 students, tailoring interventions to support educational access and student achievement
- Provide both virtual (teletherapy) and, as appropriate, in-person therapy sessions based on students’ Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals
- Conduct assessments, develop appropriate treatment plans, and monitor progress for each student
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and family members
- Maintain documentation, progress notes, and compliance with school and district requirements
- Attend virtual meetings, conferences, and contribute to the multidisciplinary team approach
