Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience or passion for working in school-based settings
- Familiarity with IEP planning and documentation
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Previous experience with 5th to 12th-grade students is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students 5th through 12th grade, addressing a wide range of needs that impact learning and participation
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized therapy plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
- Monitor student progress, adapt interventions, and maintain accurate documentation
- Consult with teachers and staff to support classroom strategies and modifications
- Engage families in supporting carryover of therapeutic goals at home
