School Occupational Therapist | Simi Valley, California

A contract opportunity is available for a part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) during the 2026–2027 school year, serving 1–2 schools in the Valencia area. This role offers a flexible two-day (16-hour) weekly schedule and provides guaranteed paid time for administrative work as well as team meetings, ensuring your expertise is valued across the entire therapy process. Travel and relocation professionals are encouraged to bring their skills and experience to a welcoming educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for students with diverse needs
- Design and carry out individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary team members to foster student success
- Participate in all required IEP meetings and ensure comprehensive, timely documentation
- Engage in paid administrative and team meeting time to stay fully integrated with school teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Current, valid California Occupational Therapist license is required
- School-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with home health, teletherapy, and broader healthcare OT practices will be highly valued
- Ability to clear all background check and fingerprinting requirements prior to the start date
