Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in school-based OT strongly preferred
- Background working in home health or healthcare settings a plus
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and pediatric therapies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to support students’ academic and functional participation
- Contribute to IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and appropriate documentation
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to modify classroom activities and support student independence
- Engage families and caregivers to extend learning and therapy goals beyond the classroom
- Adjust interventions to align with student progress and evolving educational requirements
