Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, active OT license for South Dakota (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desirable
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students’ strengths and areas for development
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet students’ unique needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support students’ progress and success
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of progress notes, assessments, and reports as required by school and regulatory guidelines
- Provide direct therapy sessions, adapt classroom activities, and make recommendations for environmental or instructional modifications
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise in developing goals, and offer professional recommendations
