Exciting contract opportunity for an Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting students in a dynamic educational setting. This position begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year. The assignment is full-time—working five days per week for a total of 40 hours—and is focused on serving secondary students, including middle school, high school, and transition-aged (18-22) individuals. You'll work alongside a welcoming, collaborative team dedicated to positive student outcomes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to a caseload of 39 students directly and 37 students through consult, with a few assessments as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student learning and participation
- Develop individualized goals and monitor progress, maintaining thorough, compliant documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans
- Utilize your expertise in school-based OT and/or teletherapy to deliver high-quality intervention
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid California OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school-based settings, particularly with secondary (middle and high school) and transition-age students
- Strength in both direct therapy and consultative models
- Comfort with assessments and comprehensive documentation
