The role is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, with flexibility for a hybrid in-person and remote schedule. The position will cover a maternity leave starting April 13th, 2026, through the end of the school year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy licensure valid for school practice
- Previous experience supporting students in Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th grades, and high school settings is highly desirable
- Understanding of pediatric occupational therapy best practices, individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable providing therapy in classroom, pull-out, and remote formats
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessments and direct therapy tailored to individual student needs across various grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to develop and implement IEPs and intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in accordance with district and state requirements
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and adaptive strategies to help them access their curricula
- Provide consultative services and staff training as needed to facilitate student success in both academic and functional areas
