Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Tennessee is required
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to oversee and mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Strong organizational skills for managing a caseload and providing support across multiple schools
- Reliable transportation for light local travel between school sites
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide direct OT services for approximately 120 students
- Design, implement, and assess individualized therapy plans that foster student growth and participation
- Oversee the work of three COTAs, offering mentorship, training, and supervision as needed
- Maintain accurate therapy records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary staff to promote student independence and achievement
- Adapt interventions to diverse needs, ensuring that therapy remains student-centered and evidence-based
