Take on a dynamic contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a supportive school environment near Stamford, CT. You’ll work across two campuses, collaborating with educators and families to enhance student success for a varied caseload of 15-35 students with diverse needs, including emotional disturbances, autism spectrum disorders, attention challenges, and learning differences.
This full-time role runs through June 7, 2027, and offers the chance to make a lasting impact while developing your school-based OT expertise.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Connecticut Occupational Therapy license (CT OT)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based OT services
- Comfort and flexibility working with K-12 students at locations in the Wallingford and Norwalk areas
- Familiarity with disabilities such as ED, ASD, ADHD, ODD, LD, and others common in school settings
- Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate well within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for K-12 students
- Deliver evidence-based therapy services to support students’ functional, academic, and social participation in the school environment
- Adapt and modify tasks, tools, and environments to facilitate access and success
- Work closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Travel between campuses as required by caseload assignments
