Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for New York State
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting is highly valued
- Knowledge or experience supporting students with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other genetic disorders
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads effectively and deliver 1:1 therapy sessions
- Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 occupational therapy services to students ages 5–14
- Serve two full-time elementary caseloads and one part-time high school caseload, totaling approximately 55 sessions per week
- Assess students’ needs, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with other therapists, special education staff, and families to support each student’s goals
- Adapt therapy materials and methods to meet each child’s unique needs and developmental level
- Contribute to interdisciplinary meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
