An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting students’ growth and success. This full-time contract position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a 35-hour work week, serving students from kindergarten through age 26. Work onsite and become an integral resource for learners and educators alike, making a genuine impact in a school-based setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated school-based occupational therapy experience—previous time working with K–age 26 populations is highly preferred
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (submission requires a screenshot of verification; please confirm your OT license via Michigan’s licensing portal before applying)
- Strong understanding of current OT practices as they relate to educational environments
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Comfortable with full onsite responsibilities; this is not a remote or hybrid opportunity
- Must be able to work independently—this position does not supervise or require COTA assistance
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments, develop individualized plans, and implement direct therapy services to students
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, general educators, and families to optimize each student’s educational access and participation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with school standards and state regulations
- Monitor and report on student progress while adapting strategies as needed
- Offer professional support to staff, fostering inclusive, productive classroom environments
