You will have the valuable support of an occupational therapist on staff two days a week, providing guidance and collaboration as you navigate your caseload and integrate effective interventions within the school environment.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role
- Familiarity with K-12 student needs and IEP processes
- Strong communication skills for working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and maintain thorough documentation
- Flexible, collaborative approach to problem-solving and plan adaptation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services across a K-12 caseload
- Participate in developing and revising IEPs in accordance with student needs and regulations
- Conduct assessments and create data-driven goals and interventions
- Provide recommendations and resources to school teams and families
- Monitor student progress and document results in a timely, organized manner
- Work together with the on-staff OT and educational personnel to maximize student outcomes
