Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license
- Experience working with students in early childhood through grade 12
- Familiarity with educational settings, including pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and related service teams
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Flexibility to adapt techniques to meet the unique needs of each student
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Evaluate and identify students’ needs using observation, assessment tools, and teacher/parent input
- Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust interventions as necessary
- Partner with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Provide resources, strategies, and training to families and school staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal-setting
