Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a part-time Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. Located near vibrant Sunnyvale, CA, this role offers a flexible schedule—just 8 hours per week, spread across two mornings (approximately 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM). You'll work primarily with students in TK-5th grade, making a meaningful impact in their daily lives and development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license valid in California
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school-based setting is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of pediatric OT practices and interventions
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions for TK-5th grade students in accordance with IEP goals
- Evaluate students’ motor skills, sensory needs, and functional abilities in the school environment
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to implement strategies and accommodations
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and help develop individualized educational plans
- Educate staff and parents on OT best practices and supportive classroom adaptations
