Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license required, with credentials valid for school-based practice
- Background working with pediatric populations or students in educational settings
- Skilled in assessment, intervention, and documentation within the school OT framework
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to partner with educators, families, and related service providers
- Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to student-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students under IEPs or 504 plans, including assessment, goal-setting, direct and consultative interventions
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and records
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for supports or modifications
- Adapt activities, materials, and environments to maximize student participation and success
- Work closely with school staff and families to ensure continuity of care and carry-over of strategies
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where students can develop critical life and academic skills
