Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Experience in school-based OT settings preferred; backgrounds in home health, healthcare, or teletherapy considered an asset
- Ability to manage a high school student caseload effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to high school students, supporting their educational goals
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, educational staff, and families to integrate OT strategies into daily activities
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and legal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insightful recommendations for student success
Position Details:
- Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- Contract position, covering the full 22/23 academic year
- Onsite at a high school in the greater San Jose area
