Step into a dynamic role supporting students across two schools, serving a diverse caseload of kindergarten through 8th-grade learners. You'll provide crucial occupational therapy services to students with a range of needs, including those with Autism, developmental delays, and Down syndrome. Evaluations will center on supporting school-aged children, and you’ll participate in meetings as needed to ensure student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Occupational Therapy license required
- Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to start
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delays, and Down syndrome
- Comfort with independent practice (no COTA supervision or clinical oversight responsibilities)
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and school-based assessments
- Excellent time management and adaptability across two school settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and direct services for K-8 students
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families
- Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain clear documentation and comply with all state and school requirements
- Attend and participate in meetings before and after school as needed to support student care
- Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and assistive technology as appropriate
