Seeking a skilled occupational therapist to provide essential ESY (Extended School Year) services, supporting a male student placed out-of-district at a residential hospital. This contract opportunity, based near Swanzey, NH, may extend into the 2026/2027 school year, offering a fulfilling chance to make a meaningful impact.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in New Hampshire (NH)
- Previous experience delivering OT services in school settings preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with hospital teams and adapt to changing schedules
- Comfortable providing 1:1 interventions and modifying support as student progresses
- Familiarity with working with students who are new to OT services a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services as part of the Extended School Year program, with scope to continue for multiple years
- Support one student in a residential hospital setting, with initial shorter sessions growing gradually
- Coordinate scheduling with hospital staff for sessions, typically Mondays and Fridays between 8:15 AM and 2:30-3:00 PM
- Document progress, adapt interventions, and communicate updates to school and hospital teams as needed
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, student IEP goals, and best practices in pediatric OT
