This unique opportunity focuses on one-to-one support for an out-of-district male student residing at a residential hospital. The setting offers a rewarding chance to facilitate meaningful growth for a student new to OT services, helping to build routines and skills from the ground up.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid NH Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous experience with school-based OT is preferred
- Background working with students with diverse needs, particularly in residential or hospital settings, is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Flexible, compassionate, and adaptable to the evolving needs of the student
Role Highlights:
- Provide individualized OT services on Mondays and Fridays, with sessions between 8:15 am and 3:00 pm
- Coordinate closely with hospital staff to ensure a seamless and supportive therapy environment
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans, beginning with shorter sessions and gradually increasing as the student becomes more comfortable
- Monitor progress, adjust goals as needed, and document outcomes as part of the ESY program
- Foster a positive, engaging environment that respects the student’s pace and unique needs
