Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Washington state
- Experience or interest in working with students ranging from Pre-K to Grade 12
- Familiarity with school-based OT practices, including individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for fostering growth, development, and independence in children and adolescents
- Adaptability to different grade levels and school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in Early Childhood, Elementary (Grades K-5), Middle (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12) settings
- Assess, plan, and implement interventions to support students’ fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Develop and contribute to IEP goals and document student progress
- Work closely with educators and families to ensure cohesive support and maximize student success
- Provide education and training for school staff to facilitate classroom strategies
- Adapt therapy approaches for individual student needs at various developmental stages
- Participate in team meetings and support ongoing professional growth within the school community
