School Occupational Therapist - Thousand Oaks, California
An exciting opportunity awaits skilled Speech-Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists eager to make a positive impact in the lives of preschoolers. This contract position supports students aged 3-5 in a school-based setting near Thousand Oaks, CA, offering full-time hours and a close-knit collaborative environment. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 17, 2026, giving you ample time to build meaningful connections and contribute to students’ development.
With a caseload of up to 50 preschoolers across multiple school sites, you’ll never face a dull moment. The presence of another SLP at the site ensures you’ll be part of a supportive team, fostering collaboration and resource sharing. Those with experience or interest in Occupational Therapy (OT) will find additional opportunities to support the school’s therapy needs.
Key Qualifications:
- California licensure as an SLP or OT (or eligibility in process)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children (3-5 years old)
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt therapy strategies
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, goal-oriented speech/language or occupational therapy to preschoolers
- Conduct assessments, write and implement IEPs, and track student progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and the on-site SLP
- Serve multiple campus locations as part of a team
- Adjust interventions to meet each student’s unique needs
