Key qualifications:
- Active California Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to diverse student needs
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with IEPs
- Conduct student assessments and participate in the development of individualized therapeutic goals
- Document progress, prepare reports, and maintain detailed records to support student outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy strategies into classroom activities
- Educate staff and families on techniques and adaptive tools that aid student success
- Stay current on best practices in school-based OT and participate in ongoing training
