Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school-based settings or working with children and adolescents preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and support teams
- Knowledge of IEP documentation and development
- Flexibility to provide part-time and PRN coverage
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess students to develop individualized OT plans that address fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Deliver therapeutic interventions in a school environment, adapting techniques to classroom dynamics
- Document student progress, participate in IEP meetings, and recommend equipment or modifications as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote inclusive learning environments
- Offer training and resources to educators and support staff as needed
