Key Qualifications:
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapy license required (please provide a screenshot of current licensure status).
- Proven experience delivering OT services within a school setting.
- Familiarity with K-12 student populations, adapting approaches for a wide developmental range.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective time management to maintain service schedules and complete necessary documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and address students’ developmental and functional needs through individualized therapy plans.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff on interventions and accommodations in the classroom.
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring to drive goal-oriented therapy.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with school and district requirements.
- Attend IEP meetings, providing professional insight and recommendations to facilitate student success.
- Engage with parents/guardians to support carryover of strategies in the home environment.
