Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged students
- Solid understanding of school-based OT practices
- Proficiency in writing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Ability to conduct thorough evaluations and prepare MET (Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team) reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dedication to fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services within elementary settings
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to each student’s needs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and planning
- Complete evaluations, assessments, and MET reports to guide student support
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to ensure holistic care for each student
- Maintain clear and organized documentation according to school and state guidelines
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in pediatric OT
