Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license (Iowa)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting
- Ability to design and implement therapeutic interventions for children with diverse needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ needs and appropriate goals
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams and families
- Maintain thorough documentation of progress, treatment plans, and reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and ongoing team training
- Educate staff and caregivers on recommended strategies and accommodations to support student success
- Adaptable to working with various age groups in both individual and small group settings
