School Occupational Therapist - West Hartford, Connecticut
Make a meaningful impact supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic, collaborative district setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to work across multiple school sites, providing essential therapies that empower children to participate fully in their educational experience. The assignment runs from August 27, 2026, through February 9, 2027, with a commitment of 35 hours each week.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist license for Connecticut
- Experience working in school-based OT settings preferred
- Comfortable traveling between multiple schools within a district
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and support teams
- Proficient in maintaining thorough and timely documentation
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services in an onsite, districtwide capacity
- Assess students’ needs to develop and implement effective therapy plans
- Support IEP goals by integrating interventions into school routines
- Provide consultation and training to educational staff and families
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and reports for each student served
