Occupational Therapist School Setting in West Hartford, CT
Step into an impactful role supporting students across multiple school sites. This contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist takes place in a dynamic and collaborative educational setting, where your expertise will make a significant difference in the lives of children and youth. The assignment runs from August 27, 2026 through February 9, 2027, offering a consistent 35-hour workweek.
You’ll serve as a district-wide resource, collaborating with educators, support staff, and families to deliver occupational therapy services that foster academic and developmental success. Each day brings the chance to address a wide variety of needs, expand your professional repertoire, and engage in meaningful work.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut
- Previous experience in public school settings preferred
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule across multiple campuses
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to student-centered, evidence-based practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to eligible students district-wide
- Conduct thorough evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and modify strategies supporting IEP goals
- Maintain clear, timely, and thorough documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
- Contribute to IEP meetings and professional development as needed
