Make a positive impact at local schools as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract position offers a full-time schedule, providing essential services to students across two sites within a supportive educational environment. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to foster students’ independence and success through tailored interventions and engaging activities.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT licensure in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and travel between two schools
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Evaluate students with diverse needs, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student participation in school activities
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications, adaptive equipment, and sensory strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings and reports
- Support inclusive practices and foster a positive, accessible learning environment
