School Occupational Therapist - Winchester, New Hampshire
An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist skilled in school-based settings. This role focuses on providing crucial Extended School Year (ESY) services with the potential for continuation through the 2026/2027 academic year. You will make a direct impact by working one-on-one with an out-of-district male student at a residential hospital. Your expertise will help shape and expand therapeutic interventions, building a foundation of trust and achievement for a student new to OT services.
This position offers the flexibility of scheduling services on Mondays and Fridays between 8:15 am and between 2:30-3:00 pm. Success in this role will require collaboration and coordination with hospital staff to create an effective, individualized approach, gradually increasing sessions as the student acclimates.
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in New Hampshire (NH).
- Experience with pediatric or school-based occupational therapy preferred.
- Ability to adapt and tailor therapy plans to a new student’s evolving needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for interfacing with hospital staff.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a compassionate approach to working one-on-one.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Occupational Therapy services as part of the ESY program.
- Start with brief sessions, gradually increasing as the student progresses.
- Develop individualized plans responsive to the student’s needs and school goals.
- Maintain open communication and close coordination with hospital personnel.
