Embark on a rewarding contract assignment serving school communities in the Merced region, supporting students with moderate to severe needs across multiple sites. This position offers the chance to provide impactful occupational therapy services as part of a dedicated team for the full academic year, beginning August 13, 2026, through June 4, 2027. You’ll work a consistent 37.5 hours per week, engaging with a dynamic group of students, educators, and support staff.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy licensure in California (CA OT License required)
- California Teaching Credential (CTC) required
- Previous experience working in school-based occupational therapy—mod-to-severe caseloads strongly preferred
- Knowledge of SEIS Service Tracker is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple locations (itinerant/multiple sites)
- Familiarity with best practices for working with students with significant needs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills
- Open to travelers; this opportunity is not available for virtual or VOCO candidates
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and targeted interventions within a K-12 school setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized goals and treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams
- Record and document services accurately using SEIS Service Tracker or similar systems
- Provide consultation, training, and support to teachers, aides, and families
- Travel between assigned school locations to ensure students receive consistent services
