Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school environment is required
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices, IEP processes, and educational collaboration
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility, initiative, and a positive, collaborative approach with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with a range of needs
- Assess and document students’ skills through evaluations and ongoing observation
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expert input to multidisciplinary teams
- Advise staff on adaptive equipment and classroom strategies to enhance student participation
