Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist in an onsite setting near Yreka, CA. This position spans the 2026-2027 school year, with an immediate start and extending through June 11, 2027. You’ll play a crucial role in enhancing students' ability to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students across K-12 grades
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote functional outcomes
- Deliver direct therapy services and consultative support within a school environment
- Maintain compliant documentation and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
- Support students in building fine motor, sensory integration, and life skills necessary for classroom success
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in California
- Experience or interest in K-12 education settings
- Understanding of IEP processes and compliance
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a full-time workload and serve a diverse student caseload
- Previous school-based OT experience is preferred, though not required
