School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Boston, Massachusetts
Step into a rewarding contract position supporting elementary students near Boston, MA as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. In this full-time role, you’ll work approximately 6 hours a day across a 5-day week, providing crucial therapy services under the guidance and supervision of an experienced Occupational Therapist. Your expertise will help young learners develop the skills they need to thrive in their educational environment.
What You’ll Need:
- Active Massachusetts COTA license
- Experience or background serving pediatric or elementary school-aged children preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, educators, and other support staff
- Flexibility and adaptability to serve a diverse student caseload
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted therapy services to elementary students as assigned
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of sessions and student progress
- Collaborate with the supervising OT to implement individualized student plans
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on student needs and progress
- Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding student support and progress
Schedule and Assignment Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: June 16, 2027
- 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Approximately 6 hours daily, serving a caseload of elementary-aged students
