Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexible, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Primary Duties:
- Support the implementation of individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with identified occupational therapy needs
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist in the development and adaptation of classroom activities to enhance participation and access for all students
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of services and progress notes in accordance with school policies
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to team members, teachers, and caregivers
- Participate in team meetings, including IEP and staff meetings, as needed
