Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification and licensure as a COTA in California
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric environments preferred
- Ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary educational teams
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Aptitude for adapting therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Commitment to maintaining thorough documentation and following IEP guidelines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under OT supervision
- Implement individualized treatment plans supporting student IEP goals
- Monitor, document, and communicate student progress
- Adapt interventions based on teachers’ and families’ input to promote student success in school activities
- Participate in meetings and collaborate on creating supportive learning environments
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive atmosphere within classrooms and therapy spaces
