Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively with K-12th grade students, adapting interventions appropriately
- Proficient in supporting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and documenting student progress
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to supporting student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students as outlined in treatment plans
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and education staff to implement strategies that support student goals
- Assist with evaluations and contribute input for student progress reports
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and communicate regularly with team members and families
- Support the development of fine motor, sensory-processing, and adaptive skills within classrooms and therapy settings
