Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure
- Prior experience in school-based settings required
- Ability to work collaboratively with occupational therapists, teachers, and other support staff
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Passion for making a positive impact on students’ daily lives and routines
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as directed by the supervising OT
- Implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and document student progress
- Adapt activities and school environments to enhance students’ participation and performance
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student achievement and independence
- Maintain accurate, timely records according to all school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for students
