Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) state licensure
- Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Understanding of IEPs, educational settings, and pediatric caseloads
- Skilled in documentation and progress tracking
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Comfortable utilizing Zoom for interviews and virtual meetings
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy support to K-12 students under a licensed Occupational Therapist’s supervision
- Support student development in fine motor, sensory-motor, self-help, and adaptive skills
- Assist in preparing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document and report on student progress and goals
- Communicate with families, teachers, and related services to ensure coordinated care
- Adapt to multiple school sites and grade levels as needed
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and school policies
