Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license valid in Connecticut
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings is highly desired
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and families
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a diverse caseload efficiently
- Adaptability to travel between sites if needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with occupational therapists to implement treatment goals and strategies
- Document progress, observations, and recommendations to inform student support teams
- Collaborate with teachers and families to integrate therapy into the classroom routine
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas and materials
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and onsite interviews as required
