Key Qualifications:
- Current California licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, teachers, and families
- Comfortable managing a diverse student caseload and adapting interventions to various learning needs
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to fostering student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress and contribute to evaluations and reports
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to provide strategies and accommodations that promote student success in the classroom
- Encourage student participation in daily activities, fostering independence and positive classroom behaviors
