Exciting opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support student success in a collaborative educational setting for the entire 2026-2027 school year! This full-time, contract position runs from August 2026 through June 2027, with a weekly schedule of 32-37.5 hours, Monday through Friday. Work closely with a diverse K-12 caseload, making a positive impact in students’ lives while honing your skills in a dynamic school environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential, active and in good standing
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to implement therapy interventions developed by an Occupational Therapist
- Organized, adaptable, and passionate about helping students reach their goals
- Ability to travel to and work onsite at assigned school locations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students according to IEP plans
- Support students’ participation in classroom and school activities
- Document progress and maintain appropriate records
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support individualized student needs
- Assist with adapting learning environments and educational materials
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights to student support plans
- Communicate progress and strategies to teachers and families in a professional manner
