Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active and current state licensure as a COTA is required
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within educational settings
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Professionalism and organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation with accuracy
- Flexibility and openness to travel, as this position welcomes candidates willing to relocate or commute
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the occupational therapy needs of students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Deliver direct therapy services to help students develop or improve fine motor, self-care, sensory processing, and functional classroom skills
- Assist in implementing treatment plans tailored to each child’s learning goals and progress
- Maintain accurate records and contribute valuable input during IEP meetings and team discussions
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment for all students
