Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification and state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience delivering occupational therapy services in a school-based environment preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches for diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist students in building fine motor, self-care, and classroom participation skills
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and progress notes
- Collaborate closely with educational teams to ensure consistent, student-focused interventions
