Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations
- Understanding of IEP documentation and therapy goal tracking
- Comfort implementing occupational therapy interventions designed by an OTR/L
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs
- Compassionate, patient, and positive attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions and activities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support students’ development of fine motor, sensory, self-care, and classroom participation skills
- Collect data and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Assist with developing and tailoring therapy materials as needed
- Engage proactively in team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy supports in the classroom
