Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current COTA certification and eligibility to practice in Connecticut
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, sensory processing, and fine/gross motor interventions
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families
- Ability to adapt to multiple school environments and student needs
- Compassionate, patient, and organized approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support students’ IEP goals, implementing individualized interventions to promote student participation and independence
- Provide therapeutic activities targeting self-care, sensory, and motor skills
- Assist with progress monitoring, documentation, and data collection
- Collaborate with education teams and contribute insights to improve student outcomes
- Rotate among multiple school sites as part of your weekly schedule
