The role encompasses itinerant services, which means you’ll provide support at approximately three different sites, each presenting unique experiences and professional growth.
What we’re seeking:
- Active, valid COTA license
- IVP Fingerprint Card (must be current or eligible to obtain)
- Prior experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
- Adaptability to work with both mild and severe student needs
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, therapists, and families
- Reliable transportation for travel between assigned sites
- Professionalism and a genuine passion for helping students thrive
Role responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct occupational therapy services as prescribed in IEPs
- Supporting students’ academic and functional skills within individual and group settings
- Collaborating closely with supervising therapists, who are provided by the district
- Documenting progress and participating in IEP meetings as needed
- Consulting with teachers and other staff to recommend classroom accommodations and modifications
- Traveling between sites to ensure consistent service delivery
