- Current COTA certification and licensure in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt activities and materials to meet diverse student needs
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the supervising Occupational Therapist in providing therapy interventions for students
- Supporting students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills for classroom participation
- Collecting data and preparing treatment notes in accordance with school policies
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating with educators, administrators, and parents
- Adapting or designing materials to enhance students’ progress and independence
- Promoting a positive, inclusive environment for all learners
