What we’re looking for:
- Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Recent experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in schools
- Solid understanding of developmental milestones and sensory-motor needs of children
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with OTs, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt and problem-solve in a dynamic, student-centered environment
- Dedication to upholding ethical and professional standards
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Support intervention plans developed by supervising OTs targeting fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and classroom participation
- Document progress, update records, and assist with assessments and reporting
- Partner with teachers and staff to foster inclusive learning environments and support accommodations
- Educate families on strategies for success at home and in school
- Engage actively in team meetings and professional growth activities
