This role provides coverage for a maternity leave, extending through the end of the school year, and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a diverse educational setting. As an itinerant COTA, you’ll collaborate closely with educators and licensed occupational therapists to deliver individualized interventions that help students reach their full potential.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current California COTA licensure required
- Experience in a school-based environment strongly preferred
- Familiarity with servicing diverse caseloads across multiple school sites
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to support and implement OT plans under supervision
- Flexible and adaptable mindset to thrive in a district-wide role
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students
- Travel between district schools to serve an assigned caseload of approximately 50 students
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support students in developing functional school-based skills
- Collect data and document student progress, following established protocols
- Collaborate with instructional staff, families, and supervising OTs to promote positive outcomes
